Having originally trained as a textile designer, it was Fi's love of creating three-dimensional embroidered designs, that led her into the world of millinery. She trained in millinery techniques with the renowned film and theatre milliner, Jane Smith.
Fi then went on to work with Philip Treacy in his London studio for seven years, where she worked on designs for clients such as the Duchess of Cornwall, Madonna and Lady Gaga.
It was at Philip Treacy's, that Fi gained a strong understanding of couture millinery.
Fi has also worked with the Royal milliner, Rachel Trevor-Morgan.
In her studio, Fi creates each design using couture techniques. Every hat is hand blocked, every headpiece is hand stitched and beaded. As well as using silk flowers on some of her creations, Fi also makes embroidered flowers and blossoms, thus marrying her two loves of millinery and embroidery together.
Along with her bridal collection, Fi Graham also provides a bespoke service. Whether you are looking for a hat or headpiece to compliment and finish an outfit or simply looking for a statement piece that you can create a look around, then Fi can work closely with you, to create a design that suits your requirements.
Here at Fi Graham, we also enjoy collaborating on a range of different projects, whether it be tv, film and theatre to catwalk and fashion editorial shoots. If you have something in mind and think that we could be of assistance, then please do get in touch.
Fi can provide private tuition to anyone looking to learn couture millinery techniques. To enquire about availability, please contact Fi directly either by email: firstname.lastname@example.org or on 07787 841368.
